  I am sure many of you are fully aware of Hurricane Gustave and it's probable storm track of hitting New Orleans by late this coming weekend. Following closely behind Gustave is Tropical Storm Hanna. After Hurricane Katrina and Rita in 2005 no one in the New Orleans metro area is laughing this off. What many do not know, and are not aware of, is this weekend in New Orleans there is also the HUGE Homosexual Pagan festival called "Decadence weekend' scheduled this weekend for Labor Day 2008
Let us hear what the Time-Picayune newspaper has to say of "Decadence Weekend' Southern Decadence started thirty-seven years ago as a top gay Labor Day Weekend destination, it has evolved into one of our world's major annual events. One of the largest All Gay annual celebrations in New Orleans, it has become known as the "Gay Mardi Gras." People begin to arrive on the Wednesday before Labor Day, and generally don't even think about stopping or going home until the following Tuesday. With over 100,000 gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender participants, and New Orleans City Officials have recognized its importance with an Official Proclamation to welcome all sexual practices and desires. New Orleans city businesses have also come on board the celebration by openly advertising their support of the Gay and Lesbian community. The city's wildest neighborhood gets even sexier and crazier as the French Quarter is packed for the entire event; however, the big day is Sunday. That's when the Grand Marshal leads the annual parade through the streets beginning at 2 p.m. The 2008 Grand Marshals are Paloma and Tittie Toulouse. The official theme for 2008 is "Decadence Does Disco" and the colors are silver, black and white. The corner of Bourbon and St. Ann Streets is generally considered to be the epicenter of Gay New Orleans, and even more so during the Southern Decadence festival weekend. At that intersection is the largest gay nightclub, The Bourbon Pub video bar and The Parade dance club, which is home to the hottest Gay Male dancers in town. Across the street is Hit Parade Gift and Clothing store. Most of the city's main gay attractions are located within a few blocks of this intersection. Check out our French Quarter Map. Most street party activities take place in the immediate area of the French Quarter, and the dance parties are in the clubs. And since the gay bars never close, and the sex never stops there is something happening around the clock. Come to New Orleans and be all the Gay you can be! I am SURE that a major Hurricane heading for New Orleans, followed closely behind by a Tropical Storm, while a Pagan Festival involving a Massive Homosexual Orgy, condoned by New Orleans City Officials and local city government, also supported by, to many to count, New Orleans businesses, and the most important of all the lack of any attempts by local Christians to STOP such an unholy abomination is simply a......coincidence! After all for it to be anything other then a coincidence would be to suggest that ALMIGHTY GOD might be very unhappy with the fact that a city that begged for forgiveness and restitution is once again flagrantly ignoring the percepts set forth in Scripture that "Homosexuality is an abomination before the LORD of Heaven" Just how many times does the city of New Orleans and those inhabitants who call themselves Christians think they can continue to openly and proudly sin before the LORD before HE brings forth catastrophic judgment just as HE did with Sodom and Gomorrah. For those of us who are not going to be attending "Southern Decadence" in the French Quarter maybe we should begin praying that our homes, businesses, and lively hoods, are not swept away along with those who will be attending "Gay Mardi Gras in New Orleans."
